Après avoir sagement attendu le bon moment dans le peloton, il a remporté la course au sprint, en dépassant grâce à sa puissance, le Norvégien Kristoff qui a faibli dans les 50 derniers mètres en faux plat de la Via Roma.
Un coureur que nous suivrons de près pour Paris-Roubaix et le Tour de France ces prochains mois !
